Barbara Drennen chosen $25,000 Grand Prize
and Local Award Winner for 2007!

The "Stand On A Better World"  Award, was established by Mannington Mills three years ago. The awards recognize women who are enriching the lives of others and making a significant impact in their communities or the world at large.

The awards are given in three categories: Local, National and Global plus a Grand Prize. Each award recipient will be the focus of an extensive PR campaign in 2008  and will be featured in Mannington's Product Catalogs.

Mannington Floors invited Barb to Wilmington, Delaware to enjoy a well-deserved weekend on the town and to attend the annual awards dinner where she was honored to learn she was the Grand Prize Winner and the Local Winner!!!

Congratulations Barb!!

PICC Launches PSA Campaign

Last year PICC was able to care for 214 infants, but we know that 50 times that many drug-exposed babies were born in Washington State.  Reaching out to those infants and their caregivers in the community is also an important part of PICC’s mission.  As one component of that outreach effort, PICC has launched a Public Service Announcement campaign with Seattle area television stations.
The spots direct viewers to this website and to PICC’s 24-hour information hotline to find out what they can do to help the littlest victims of drug abuse.  The campaign emphasizes three important steps:  Learn, Advocate, and Support.  (Follow links at above left for more information.)
